Fembots INVADE the Galaxy w/Dr. Sleep Friday March 15th at Underground SF!

The station is under ATTACK (as per usual)!!! The FEMBOTS have brutally subjugated their male counterparts for this month’s Galaxy Radio, and we LIKE IT! All knob twisting and fader sliding will be performed by our all powerful FEMBOTS. They know no pain, they show no pity, they play italo, some disco, and house as their circuits instruct them to. Prepare to move your metal rump. The FEMBOTS COMMAND YOU.

Galaxy Radio Presents: Stanley Frank // Fri Oct 19th @ Underground SF

Tune into Galaxy Radio Every 3rd Friday for a broadcast/simulcast/streamcast LIVE! from Underground SF headquarters in the Lower Haight. Be sure to dial in at Midnight when the needle drops on a special Italo Disco Lover’s Lane.

Modeled on the now classic CBS Top 100 (now IFM http://www.discogs.com/lists/CBS-Top-100-2005/19373 https://intergalactic.fm/) and Detroit’s Electrifying Mojo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Electrifying_Mojo), Galaxy Radio is a retro-futuristic dance party in lower space. Part discotheque, part radio show, Galaxy radio is where San Francisco’s underground community of spacelings, droids, robots, robettes and cybernetic organisms gather in secret to re-broadcast mankind’s vision of its arpeggiated future. Italo Disco, hot house, space jams (but not like the movie) guide you through the cosmos.

STEP IN2 THE FUTURE: October Haceteria featuring NEVER KNOWS [live]

Haçeteria is going to fast forward to the blackened but exhilarating world of Never Knows (aka Marc Kate), founder of the cult experimental electronic label Untitled & After (“it wants to be the 4AD of techno”). With more than a decade of previous electronic experience under his belt, Never Knows is Kate’s newest techno project, which mixes compelling rhythms with deep, moody and atmospheric sounds.

““There’s something beautifully pure about techno. Too pure. That pristine, precise sound needs to be undermined, soiled and sullied. Electronic dance music usually relates a narrative that is predictably written. The only way I see out of this trap is to be more of a mediator between the machines as they each take turns telling their own side of the story: sometimes harmonious, sometimes revelatory, often conflicted.” That’s Marc Kate (a.k.a. Silencefiction, a.k.a.Husband), one of SF’s more vital underground fixtures, whose latest, kind of spooky incarnation as Never Knows channels a tasty bank of live equipment as it folds old-school goth atmospheres into sweeping techscapes.” – Marke Beishke, SFBG.
