**Michael Serafini is the owner of Gramaphone Records in Chicago, THE preeminent record store for house music collectors, DJs and fans. He is also a resident at two legendary clubs, Boom Boom Room and at Smart Bar (for the Dollar Disco and Rhythmatic parties). He is DEEP, his is mad-skilled, he is one of those “speak softly & carry a big stick” modest DJs that people who are in the music scene, and especially those who appreciate the culture and history of DJing and House/Disco music have tonsa of respect for. We are so happy to have him doing his DEBUT in San Francisco at Go BANG! Check out his awesome, Disco mix from when Go BANG! visited Chicago and he hosted us at Smart Bar: http://www.gobangsf.com/MP3/MichaelSerafiniAtDollarDiscoinChicago08142011.mp3

**ALLEN CRAIG killed as the headliner at this past August’s Go BANG! and he is back to give the dancers more of what they want!

Allen Craig began DJing in 1991 at the house parties of UC Berkeley, spinning a mix of disco and the hardcore rave music popular at the time. It was inevitable that he fell in love with the deep house music that dominated the early 90′s gay underground scene. He followed deep house into the burgeoning late 90′s rave scene where, in 1999, he met DJ and promoter Homero Espinosa and, after a couple of years producing music together, they founded Yerba Buena Discos in 1992 as an outlet for their tracks. Yerba Buena Discos quickly made a name for itself with its quality underground house music, with Allen’s quirky, trend-bucking 90′s-style productions playing alongside more standard Chicago-style jackin’ house. As time passed, Yerba Buena Discos changed to a more eclectic style, allowing Allen to return fully to his early 90′s underground roots, embracing a style that is simultaneously retro and thoroughly modern. In the meantime, he has been working alongside Go BANG’s Sergio Fedasz, re-editing and modernizing classic disco songs for new-century audiences as The SyntheTigers!

Dial Up Presents: Ellen Ferrato Thursday Feb 16th @ Public Works

Dial Up returns to their regular Thursday night rendezvous with a VERY special guest —– the one and only Ellen Ferrato!

Ellen Ferrato will always be one of SF’s most-beloved DJ’s Not only did she throw Sugar, the hugely successful Saturday night party at the Stud, for 9 years (1997-2006), but, ask any SF clubber from that time period and you will hear nothing but fandom, adoration and excitement about her style of DJing and the energy she gave back to the dancers. Ellen DJ’d at every major venue and party in the city, and, shared the decks with all the DJ’s who had previously influenced her. These days, Ellen Ferrato is spoken about in the same sentence as other influential local legends, such as the Wicked Crew, David Harness, Rick Preston, or Mark Farina, to name a few.

Resident DJ’s, Dabecy, Robert Jeffrey, and Dr. Sleep will be supporting, and, your irresistible hosts, Tim and Jorge, will be the gaylords of the dance!
